The study programme combines knowledge in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, engineering and computer science. The programme includes both basic general technical subjects, such as mathematics, engineering and computer graphics, theory of mathematical control, and specialised subjects, including electrical engineering, electronics, electronic devices of mechatronic systems, parts of mechatronic modules, microprocessor technology in mechatronics, sensors, etc. The academic process includes a compulsory apprenticeship course.
The mechatronics engineer is engaged in the development of mechanisms and related software; designs and manufactures modern mechatronic products; designs robotic systems for industrial and domestic use.
